I’m just back from a staggeringly cool visit to the UK, which centered around the Social Enterprise World Forum, sponsored by the Glasgow based group CEIS. Man oh man…where to begin? I met so many insanely, profoundly, impressively amazing people while there. Liam from Wavelength who is working to get a dialogue going between visionary people/companies who are rocking the planet—people like Sophie, who runs Divine Chocolate. I’m in Indianapolis to talk about a bunch of stuff, and right off the bat, I sat with Brian Payne, the President of the Central Indiana Community Foundation (www.cicf.org) to talk about the sector, politics, V3, the upcoming Governor’s race, and this amazing primary season that has now come to Indiana (on the way to MT). I walked down to the Mall, to record some thoughts at the field where “Resurrection City” once stood. I am VERY lucky. In fact…I am, without doubt, one of the luckiest men you’ll ever meet. Case in point–my recent adventure in Louisiana, where they treated me BETTER than family. First stop—Ponchatoula High School (Home of the Green Wave) for a staggeringly wild, cool meeting with a couple hundred Future Farmers of America. Organized by teacher Alice DuBois, PHS’s FFA leadership team had invited me to speak to fellow FFA students they had invited from throughout the state for their second annual Living To Serve Conference.
